Welcome to your balanced life!

work out what you want in each part of your life –

• your personal life,
• your family life,
• your work,
• job/career,
• as a friend,
• as a homemaker
• wife,
• husband,
• plan and organise yourself and your life around what you do want,
• develop habits for the lifestyle you want, that give you a comfortable work life balance as well.
A good ‘ balance of life’ = feeling happy with your life.

Why is this, its usually because you feel you are achieving and being successful in all areas of your life. That makes us feel better then having successes in just one area. Not at the expense of the other areas of our lifes (most often family, relationships, your health and personal interests).

A happy balanced life is about knowing and being clear about what you want in all parts of your life. Then you can choose and organise yourself and your time so that you can achieve all that you want to achieve.

There are 3 steps to think through to help you achieve this…

1. Knowing
2. Identifying
3. Taking action

Knowing…

• What is important to you?
• What do you really want?
• What do you not want?

Identifying…

• What are your current goals
• What are your priorities?
• What are the results I want to in each part of my life?

Taking action…

• How can I help myself in making my dreams and plans happen?
• How can I become less stressed?
• How can I have a balanced life in my normal life?

Start by knowing what you want

For some this can be the most difficult part of having a balanced life, that may be why so many people don’t currently have a balanced life ! They know what they don’t want, what they think they can have, and what they think they cannot have but when it comes to answering questions like…….

• What is it you really want?
• What is important to you?
• What values and standards do you want to live your life by?
• How do you want to achive this?
• What contribution do you want to have made?
• And to whom?
• What legacy do you want to leave in this world?
• What do you want to have done?
• Where do you want to have visited?
• What do you want to have experienced?

Can you answer the above questions?

Can you work out what you DO want…

Is this you, do you know what you want. Spend some time in a quite place with some paper and pens …

1. Think,
2. Plan,
3. Dream,
4. Talk with those most important to you.

Talk and think until you form a vision of what you really want in your life.

Ask yourself -

• What is important to me about how I live my life?
• What do I really want my life to be like?
Make your vision real and attainable by thinking about it as often as you can and imagining yourself living the sort of life you want.
Start to make it come real by identifying the steps and goals that will turn your vision into your reality.
Identify clear goals for yourself for the coming 12 months.
